Oftentimes course grades aren't up to the professors, they're up to the TAs and Graduate Student Instructors. Having a good GSI can make or break your grade, so it only makes sense for students to be able to see who their GSIs and TAs are. RateMyGSI is a project started by undergrads at UC Berkeley who felt like there needed to be more transparency in course selection, especially when it comes down to GPA.
